I guess we don't share many fandoms - most of those I didn't mark, or i don't know them, or I'm indifferent about them, never a case of dislike :P

female characters: the ones that are at least 50% steel, or who have enough tenacity and moxie to make up the difference.

male characters... it's a little bit harder to find the thread, but reserved and/or passionate and/or driven?

—actually, on second thought, your type seems to be characters with steel in them across the board. those who will step up to the plate and do the shit that needs to get done.

OMG someone else who knows about this show! It was one of my childhood staples and it took years for me to find it again (now if only I could also find a working torrent for Wildfire, I'd be the happiest person on the planet...)

I used to watch it with my sister when we were kids, and my cartoon-watching group revisited it (and turned it into a pretty awesome drinking game) a couple of years ago!

Oh man, Judai? I also remember liking him a lot, but I never got that far in GX, you wanna, like... talk about it?

(I also wanted to DM you to ask you about your Hope Opinions, especially re: FF13-2 but he's also on this post and I am 👀)

Aaaaaah, apologies for taking absolutely forever to reply to this comment, it got buried in my inbox and only found it again when I started clearing out the place. ^^;;;

And I'm always 100% ready to talk about GX, it's my absolute favorite of the YGO series and Judai my favorite of the protagonists, for his complexity and his immense growth over the four season timelime. Largely the same reason I love, Hope, I suspect -- he grows and develops far more than any other character in the XIII Trilogy, outstripping even Lightning.

I am 100% here for your Judai essay still :D

I'm also currently seriously debating going into FF13-2 to play through the Adam missions again b/c it just. Fascinates me, as a part of Hope's arc, that recreation of past mistakes in a really on-the-nose metaphoric kind of way so I'm obviously up for listening whatever you might have to say about him, as well.
